Jack Darwin Jones, passed from this life painlessly and peacefully into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, on June 17, 2017, at the age of 91. He was born in Oklahoma City, on September 4, 1925, to Ed and Gertrude Jones. He graduated from Capital Hill High School. After graduating High School, he joined the U.S. Army. On June 12th, 1948 he married his life long mate, Theresa June Earnest. He worked for OG&E for forty years retiring as an electrical engineer. Jack Darwin Jones, passed from this life painlessly and peacefully into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, on June 17, 2017, at the age of 91. He was born in Oklahoma City, on September 4, 1925, to Ed and Gertrude Jones. He graduated from Capital Hill High School. After graduating High School, he joined the U.S. Army. On June 12th, 1948 he married his life long mate, Theresa June Earnest. He worked for OG&E for forty years retiring as an electrical engineer. Jack was instrumental in the founding and construction of the Church of the First Born on North Perdue in Oklahoma City in 1960. He faithfully served the church until his death. Jack was proceeded in death by his wife, Theresa June Earnest Jones, parents, one sister, Colleen Winters, two daughters, Darla June Martin and Shirley Ann Walker, and one granddaughter, Lindsey Ann. He is survived by his two sons, Anthony Darwin Jones and wife, Lea Ann of Texas, Gregory Earnest Jones and wife, Nancy of Oklahoma City; two son in laws Jack Martin and Randy Walker both from Oklahoma City; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. One brother, Clarence Jones, two sisters Elra Joyce Tomlinson, Trela and husband Preston Willoughby all of Oklahoma City. The family will receive friends for viewing and visitation Friday, June 23, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 N. Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, from 12:00 pm to 8:00pm. Services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, June 24, at The Church of the First Born, 1501 N Perdue, Oklahoma City, with interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
